Admittedly, a fangirl moment

I have been following Jamie Beck since 2017, not long before I saw her interview with James Nord of Fohr on his program “A Drink with James” on Youtube. I just rewatched that episode and I can see why Jamie made such an impression on me. I have linked that Youtube episode below.

When Covid 19 set the world upside down and locked up tight, Jamie began her series called Isolation Creation. Every day she created a different still life. She documented the making of these works of art and her photography of them in great detail on Instagram stories. I followed along enraptured by her content.

When Jamie began offering posters and prints from this series I knew I wanted to own one. I now have three of Jamie’s posters framed and on the wall behind my desk. They add an air of elegance and they mingle well with my other paintings.

When you purchase art you are purchasing an emotion, a feeling, with a connection that goes much deeper than an item to enhance your living space. Jamie’s work inspires me.
