How can I choose my favourite David Austin (English) roses!? Honestly, that is an impossible mission, however, these four I have come to love and rely on year after year.

Over my gardening life, I have developed some true loves. Some must have plants that do well, no matter what garden I am in or what style my garden is. As you know, my garden is in the English cottage style but these five perennials work in any garden.

I can feel summer peaking as I write this post. We are heading into late August. That’s the time my dahlias finally start to bloom and my cosmos and zinnias in the cutting garden are still going strong. Even my sweet peas are holding their own.

It would be near to impossible to describe Claude Monet's home and garden at Giverny other than to say it is like walking into a Monet painting. We visited back in 2008.
It all started back in 2001 when we took 10 weeks to tootle around the UK. We decided to do some home exchanges as our daughter was two years old having an actual home to stay in would be better than hotel living.
I love gardens. I think that comes as no surprise, given the number of garden and flower images I post. I can’t stop doing it.
